Edelbrock Carburetor - 1916

Edelbrock's AVS2 Off-Road Carburetor #1916 with Electric Choke is a unique 650 CFM version of the reliable #1906 street carb. It features Annular Flow Booster technology, providing near-EFI-like drivability that is noticeable as soon as you hit the gas. Similar to AVS2 street carbs, the AVS2 Off-Road includes an annular ring with eight evenly spaced orifices that replace the standard single brass tube fuel feed. This booster ring distributes fuel into the airflow stream evenly, eliminating flat spots and significantly enhancing throttle response in the low-to mid-RPM range while maintaining top-end power.

For enhanced fuel control on rough terrain, the AVS2 Off-Road is equipped with a new spring-loaded needle and seat, as well as a spring-loaded anti-syphon ball in the accelerator pump circuit to prevent fuel drip in off-road conditions. Engine backfires won't affect the AVS2 Off-Road due to the absence of power valves that can blow out. Part-throttle tuning is quick and easy, with the ability to change metering rods and springs in seconds without removing the carburetor or draining fuel.

Compared to other carburetors, the AVS2 Off-Road stands out for its ability to maintain tune and consistency in performance even after tuning and adjustments. The updated primary and secondary booster clusters provide accurate calibration for today's fuels and octane levels. The innovative Qwik-Tune Secondary Air Valve allows for unlimited calibration of the secondary circuit, with adjustments possible in seconds using basic hand tools to suit various applications.

The AVS2 Off-Road Carburetors have a two-piece design that simplifies tuning by allowing float level adjustments or internal component replacements without the need to drain the carburetor or remove it from the engine.
